What data do we process and for what purposes?

We process the data you submitted to us in connection with your application to check your suitability for the job (or other vacancies within our company, if any) and to complete the application procedure.

What is the legal basis of this processing?

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application procedure is, above all, § 26 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act) in its version applicable from 25 May 2018. Afterwards, it is permitted to process those data that are required for making a decision on the establishment of an employment relationship.

If, upon completion of the application procedure, the data are required for the assertion of legal rights, they may be processed on the basis of the conditions stipulated in Art. 6 GDPR, and especially for the safeguarding of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 Sec. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our interest is the assertion of or the defence against claims.

For how long will the data be stored?

Whenever applications are rejected, the respective application data will be deleted after 6 months.

If you have given your consent to the further storage of your personal data, we will add your data to our candidate pool. Your data will be deleted from the pool after a period of two years.

If we decide to hire you within the framework of the application procedure, the data from the applicant data system will be transmitted to the personnel information system.

To whom will your data be transmitted?

When we receive your application, our human resources department will take a look at your data. Suitable applications will be forwarded internally to the department managers responsible for the respective vacancy, after which the further proceedings will be coordinated. At our company, your data can only be accessed by those persons who need your data to ensure our application procedure's proper completion.

Where are the data processed?

The data are not processed anywhere but in data centres in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Your rights as a "data subject"

You have the right to receive information on the processing of your personal data stored with us.

When requests for information are not made in writing, please understand that we may ask you to provide proof of your identity so that we can be sure that you are the person you claim to be.

Provided that you are legally entitled to do so, you also have the right to have your personal data rectified or deleted or to restrict their processing.

Apart from that, you have the right to object to the processing within the framework of the statutory provisions. The same applies to your right to data portability.
